Bright Lights, Big City, No Money, Little Fear. This was me in NYC. I asked a stranger to take a picture of me at night in Times Square with my point and shoot. My first internship was with a organization in the heart of midtown that presented awards and fellowships to young theater artists and I had to type a lot of thank you letters to a lot of stodgy old patrons. I wasn’t very good at it, and thanks to a guardian angel (Holly Wolf, I’m looking at you), I quickly transferred to an actual theater company, Mabou Mines, which became a home away from home for me.
