So pretty! Thank you, @notechef4u! 💞 #Repost @notechef4u I do something slightly different with my bullet journal. I divide it into 2 halves. The front half of the journal is my reader/writer’s notebook and the back half is my bullet journal with more traditional lists and spreads. . . . . So what you see here is my reader’s notebook. I have always been a bit of a word nerd. While I read a book, I highlight words, phrases, quotes that speak to me. And I am also a sucker for alliteration and clever acronyms. If I am reading a fiction book, then that is the extent of what I include in my journal. If I am reading nonfiction, than I include other things like research studies. . . . . “Piper Perish” was a fantastically clever and surprisingly deep fiction novel with well developed characters. I got to see the author speak at TLA last year on a panel and after I heard her (and saw the lovely cover), I bought it on Amazon. As I am catching up on my fiction reads, it took me a while to add this one to the queue. But I am glad I did. . . . . As to the artsy part, I choose washi tape and colors that embody the mood of the book and/or resemble the cover. (I used a combination of Erin Condren @erincondren and Jane Davenport @janedavenport washi tape in this spread.) As this book cover is so beautifully done, I busted out my Faber Castell brush tip pens and took a stab at it. I think I need to take a calligraphy class or watch a video but not bad for my first try at these and fonts. #readersjournal #readersnotebook #fiction #piperperish #fictionbooks . . . . . #reading #bulletjournal #writersofinstagram #readersofinstagram #bloggersofinstagram #notes #notestagram #bookrecommendations #bookreview #txla #teachersofinstagram #authorsofinstagram #journaling #mondayquotes #mondaymood #texasteachertribe #texasteachers #reading #youngadultbooks #youngadultlit #youngadultfiction #bookish #yareads #yabookstagram #yabooks
